Group A.D. - Colour Space Transform
Group A.D. release their debut EP 'Colour SpaceĀ
Transform' on March 27th.Ā
Group A.D. is a brand new Leeds based project. TheĀ
name stands for The Group For Action & Dance. andĀ
their music sits somewhere between dubbed out,Ā
psychedelic no-wave and spaghetti-western orchestralĀ
maximalism.Ā Across the debut EP, tracks slip between the orchestralĀ
flourishes of John Barry and Ennio Morricone, the surfrock of Jet Harris and spectral ā80s dance floorĀ
maximalism - with each style appearing as suggestionĀ
rather than imitation.Ā
Samples punctuate the songs throughout - narrations,Ā
incandescent preachers, machines, childrenās voices,Ā
all a patchwork of cut-out motifs that open portals intoĀ
uncanny new worlds.
More to come from Group A.D. very soon.
"Everything they've done has been excellent so far.Ā
Moody, no-wave magic. Absolutely love it!" - LaurenĀ
Laverne, BBC 6Music
"Amazing, I predict big things for Group A.D. in 2026" -
Emily Pilbeam, BBC 6Music
