Girl Missing
Albertine Sarges announces Girl Missing - the second album from the unique Berlin-based artist who has previously worked with Holly Herndon, Colin Self, Kat Frankie and B O D I E S, whilst being part of Italian synthwave duo Ostia. Her previous releases āThe Sticky Fingersā and āFamily Of Thingsā were critically-acclaimed and became cult favourites.
This is technically not a break-up album, but itās also not not a break-up album. This is Albertine, carrying the flame of a bright love that - at the moment - doesnāt have a home.
āThe outcome is an album heavier and more brooding than The Sticky Fingers. I experimented a lot with different singing styles. Sometimes Iām close and intimate with the microphone; other times I am belting it out. I always recorded my vocals alone, often at night, in our shared studio space in a very unattractive suburb of Berlinā
